These days, all that is on the television is pure trash. I’ve never been a huge fan of TV in the first place; I very rarely watch it now, and when I was a kid I only watched shows like Arthur, the Pokemon series, and the old superhero shows like Batman, Spiderman, and Superman. Not to sound like an overprotective soccer mom, but the shit that’s on today is poisoning kids’ susceptible little brains, and I don’t really know why people are putting up with it. This includes anything on the Disney Channel, which I’m pretty sure Walt Disney himself would be infuriated by if he ever becomes unfrozen, shit like the Clique movies, and of course all that Hannah Montana bullshit.
Though I loathe all the crap listed above, there is some garbage that is like a train wreck; you don’t WANT to be staring blankly into the abyss, but you just can’t help yourself… you have to see what’s going on. Of course, all of this is entirely American TV, since America just eats that shit up like an extra large pizza and a two liter bottle of Mountain Dew. The garbage I speak of is the reality tv like Daisy of Love, Dog the Bounty Hunter, LA Ink, Flavor of Love, Paris Hilton’s My New BFF and so on and so forth. The reason these shows are so addicting is due to the fact that these people are real people. They actually live, breathe the air we breathe! It’s not some joke… these idiots exist within the walls of actuality. It is utter shit, but it is totally fascinating…Like digging through the dumpster with the mentality that you’ll find buried treasure. Anyway, I wanted to introduce these beings to the world who may still remain unaware of them.

God, the only tv that ever catches my attention are crime shows and the occassoinal science show. Everything else, as you stated, is filth. ESPECIALLY disney.
But I must say, LA Ink at least talks about a form of art, and some of the things that they talk about or show is interesting.
Flava Flav should be in a youtube video in your blog with the owl and the loris. He’s just so damned adorable.
HA.
Good subject.
